Mutant Films is an independent film production company based in Penticton, BC.

Mutant Films was founded in Vancouver by Kate Twa and Ronan Reinart.

Their focus is producing engaging and entertaining films for the international market using cutting edge technologies and innovative techniques.

Mutant Films’ diverse slate of films tell great stories in unique ways that resonate with audiences. Mutant Films produced Gods of Youth (2013) with post-production support from Telefilm Canada, and the film was broadcast on Superchannel. Gods of Youth is currently widely available on digital streaming platforms.

The Orchard (Mutant’s second fim) recently completed an extensive film festival run, picking up awards for Best Director (Sydney Indie) and Best Feature Film (South Bay, Portsmouth). The Orchard is distributed in Canada and the United States by IndieCan Entertainment, released in 2018. The company currently owns an extensive array of professional film production and post-production equipment and technologies, including cameras, lens packages, lighting, stabilization systems, and editing resources.

The company plans to continue its film development and production activities and make itself available to other local producers for development and consultation.
